Lehigh University students at field camp

NOTE: JUST UPDATED FOR 2026!

Important Dates & Information

Camp begins: Monday, June 8, 2026 at 4 pm at Lehigh or Tuesday, June 9 at prearranged locations on I-80 in PA, or other arrangements made with the fieldcamp director.

Note that a set of preparatory activities need to be completed virtually before departure. These activities will familiarize the class with the sites we visit and become versed with the electronic tools we'll use. We believe the activities will take about 10 days to complete, they will be available mid-spring so you may complete them at your own pace.

Camp ends: Friday, July 3, 2026 at Lehigh University.

If you live outside of driving distance to Lehigh's campus, note that you could fly into camp via PHL or EWR.  There is a bus from EWR direct to Bethlehem, and there are trains/buses to get from PHL to Bethlehem via downtown Philadephia (30th St Station).

Venue: Combination of traveling and base camping.  Some of the most beautiful and learning-rich locations on this planet.

Cost: $4,500

Eligibility: Lehigh students and students from other academic institutions who meet the prerequisites listed on the Field Camp main page. We usually have strong representation from institutions other than Lehigh.

Lehigh Field Camp is committed to diversity, welcomes and encourages applications from all students, including members of under-represented groups.
