We study the Earth and environment, how the solid earth, oceans, atmosphere, and life interact to shape the world in which we live.
The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences offers undergraduates a foundation in environmental science, geology and ecology through a modern earth-systems-science approach. The interdisciplinary curriculum equips students to understand complex environmental challenges and their broader societal impacts. With B.A., B.S. and minor options, the program supports diverse career paths in science, law, business and government.
At Lehigh, we're doing real work. Our graduate students work together with faculty to face big, complex challenges in a collaborative and research-intensive environment. Students explore a wide range of topics, from ecology to geophysics, while forming genuine, lasting relationships.
